Rob Holzer founded Matter Unlimited to drive positive, lasting change in the world by leveraging the power of advertising, digital marketing and branding. Under Rob’s leadership, Matter Unlimited has created powerful campaigns for client partners including Facebook, HP, UNICEF, ABC/Disney, NBC Universal, Kimpton and TED. In 2015, Rob and his team launched a virtual reality (VR) film series featuring global stories of social change, titled “Inside Impact”. The first film, Emmy-nominated “Inside Impact: East Africa,” is a journey with President Clinton through the Clinton Global Initiative’s work in the region. Matter Unlimited continues to pioneer content for social impact in the emerging VR/AR space.
Prior to founding Matter Unlimited, Rob was Founder and CEO of Syrup, which he created in 1998. Syrup was well known for their pioneering work as Agency of Record for Puma, handling their 2010 World Cup campaign, and also for GE’s groundbreaking “Ecomagination” campaign. In 2007, he successfully navigated Syrup through their acquisition by LBi (now Digitas/LBi, part of Publicis).
Rob is a founding member of The Civic Nation Creative Alliance, a group that connects The White House initiatives to the country’s top creative talent. Rob’s passion and vision for sustainable impact also extends beyond the office – he serves as an industry expert for the United Nations Media for Social Impact Summit, PopTech, and Social Innovation Summit. Rob is a certified Shared Value Initiative Affiliate, volunteer mentor for global entrepreneurial non-profit Endeavor.org, and is also on the board for the non-profit Lineage Project.
Alexandra has over 11 years experience in the Advertising Industry. Her first gig was at a boutique digital firm in Sydney, Australia where she got her first taste of the social impact world working with Greenpeace. Before re-discovering the social impact world at Matter Unlimited she worked across a diverse range of global brands. She has led numerous integrated campaigns for brands within the Marriott International portfolio and their Rewards Program bringing a highly strategic and results focused approach to her clients. Her previous experience at DDB and M&C Saatchi allowed her to understand the importance of flawless execution having delivered effective campaigns for clients such as McDonald’s, Qantas Airways and Optus. She has forged successful and lasting partnerships through deep client knowledge.
Aina Abiodun, Director of Strategy & Innovation
Born and raised in Nigeria, Aina Abiodun is an award-winning filmmaker who has expanded her creative work across media platforms. She is a storyteller, futurist, and digital culture pioneer who builds brands and movements across media platforms. Aina co-founded and steers StoryCode, a global lab for cross-platform and immersive storytellers which introduced the world’s first story hackathon. Named by PBS MediaShift as one of 5 top women in transmedia, Aina is regarded as an industry leader and speaks frequently about digital culture, storytelling, and movement building. She’s spoken at SXSW, MoMA on immersion, and the Guggenheim Museum on the future of audience experiences.
Seth Zalkin, Executive Director of Strategic Ventures
Seth Zalkin has spent much of his life building companies as an investor and entrepreneur and is a leading advisor on early stage investments, mergers and acquisitions and innovative growth strategies. Seth has led the sale of businesses to both public and private companies and successfully cultivated client relationships with companies such as The Carlyle Group, HIG Capital, Soros Fund Management, Time Warner, IBM, Bacardi, The Gores Group and Perrier.
