Conde Nast: Glamour
The Girl Project
In 2014, Glamour launched The Girl Project, a global philanthropic effort to support young girls around the world complete their secondary educations. Glamour wanted to showcase the challenges and determination of the girls it was championing, and engage its readers in their daily plight.
Our concept, Get Schooled, was a film series that brought together five up-and-coming female filmmakers with five Girl Project beneficiaries. They shared their stories and talked about a number of issues connected with education like violence, poverty, cultural expectations. Each short film was supported with social postings, that drove to the website to learn more about the issues.
The films were released over a five week period with accompanying Instagram posts and interviews. This constant stream of content provided a solid framework for engagement. The campaign garnered a total of 91,919 video views and 30,000+ engagements on social media.
